Network Health offers Commonwealth Care members a lowest-price health plan with increased access to high-quality health care
(Medford, Mass.) — Network Health, a Massachusetts health plan that provides high-quality health care coverage to more than 170,000 Massachusetts residents with low and moderate incomes, has announced an expansion of its Commonwealth Care provider network and subsequent state approval for an expansion of its service area to the Adams and Pittsfield areas. Network Health can now offer a lowest-price Commonwealth Care health plan to eligible residents in all 33 towns within Berkshire County.
“Network Health is committed to expanding the number of communities we serve,” says Paul Burke, Network Health vice president of network management. “With this expansion, we are able to offer Commonwealth Care-eligible residents in the Adams and Pittsfield areas access to high-quality health care at a price they can afford.”
Commonwealth Care extends access to high-quality, affordable health care to Massachusetts residents 19 years or older who earn at or below 300% of the federal poverty level, which is up to approximately $32,676 a year for an individual or $67,056 a year for a family of four, and who do not have access to subsidized health insurance, including employee-sponsored health insurance. The Commonwealth Health Insurance Connector Authority determines Commonwealth Care eligibility.
