Network Health Appoints Director of
Integrated Care Management

(Medford, Mass.) Network Health, a Massachusetts health plan that provides high-quality health care coverage to nearly 170,000 Massachusetts residents with low and moderate incomes, announced today that Jean O’Malley has been appointed director of integrated care management. In her new role, O’Malley will lead Network Health’s integrated care management team; oversee all care management referral functions including clinical population-based programs for medical, behavioral health, and social care management; manage the plan’s care managers who coordinate member care across the care continuum; and promote effective utilization and monitoring of health care resources.

“Jean is a natural fit to lead Network Health’s integrated care management team,” said Mary Jane McKendry, Network Health’s senior director of clinical affairs operations. “Jean’s health care expertise and demonstrated, results-driven approach to care management will continue to develop Network Health’s industry-best integrated care management model and improve member health outcomes.”

Previously, O’Malley served as Network Health’s director of medical management, where she oversaw Network Health’s medical management, clinical, and outreach teams to offer members a full range of services to improve their health care. Prior to Network Health, O’Malley served as associate director of health services at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center, where she coordinated the case management and utilization management teams.

O’Malley earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in health care from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Boston University.
